In Isaiah 53, the prophet presents the sufferings of our Saviour and explains why we need to believe on His atoning death. The human race is lost, and has followed its own way, but Christ calls us to know the only way to eternal life.

Isa.53.6All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the LORD hath laid on him the iniquity of us all.
