Our biological parents are to be honoured and esteemed, but so too are all those who have the rule over us, including governments, employers, and those who hold office in the local church. Also, what does the land promise signify?
Exod.20.12Honour thy father and thy mother: that thy days may be long upon the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee.
