The Shield of Faith      Ephesians 6.16

Looking at historical uses of shields leads to an insight into the spiritual use of this piece of the Christian’s armour; the threats it is engaged against from within and without. Examination is made of the meaning of faith in the Christian life (which some mistakenly substitute with feelings in this age). Here too are suggestions on how to promote faith, which in turn leads to a stronger body of believers, and opportunities to lead others to our Saviour.
